About the 470 ARG
The 470 Amateur Radio Group, are those who participate on the 145.470 WB4GBI repeater. We enjoy some of the great benefits that ham radio offers by preserving amateur radio in it's truest forms. To help provide public service when called upon by the community, emergency communications when requested, to pass any and all forms of traffic and most importantly help those who want to learn more about Ham Radio.
No matter if young or old or what license class you may hold please come and enjoy the camaradierie of those on the frequency but most of all we want you to have fun and enjoying one of the greastest hobbies in the world with us.

Special Events
I wanted to let everyone know that the 470 Amateur Radio Group Net
Special event call has been approved and will be listed in QST..
The special event call is W4H (Whiskey Four Hotel ).. The dates are November 1st thru November 15th, from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm, the operation frequencies will be
14.250, 7.250, 28.350, 3.850 mhz +/- 20khz per the ARRL instructions.... Those who are interested in taking part in the Special Event please contact me ASAP so that I can have the list to turn in ......

Weekly Nets
- The 470 Amateur Radio Group net meets every Tuesday night at 7PM. Everyone is welcome to check in.

East Tennessee Skywarn
The 470 ARG are members of the EastTennessee Skywarn group and assist the National Weather Service with storm spotting and other weather realted activities. More information about Skywarn can be found here at ETSkywarn.org
